Our Story

Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc. (Mariwasa), the biggest ceramic tile manufacturing company in the Philippines, is a joint venture of Coseteng Group and the Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand. The partnership was forged more than fifteen years ago in 1993 with then Mariwasa Manufacturing, Inc. (MMI).

Established in 1967, MARIWASA has pioneered manufacturing processes such as production of vitrified floor tiles, big size wall tiles, and 3rd fired ceramic tiles. This is the most famous brand in the Philippines.

Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc., was born on December 1995 and was formally launched on June 1997.

MARIWASA continues to grow, with the goal to expand its distribution channels to cover the ASEAN region, through better designs, product availability, and the best quality at par with the world’s best.

2013

Green Choice Philippines Award

Mariwasa proudly upholds its commitment to sustainability as the first and only local ceramic tile manufacturer certified by Green Choice Philippines. This recognition highlights Mariwasa’s eco-friendly products and dedication to reducing carbon emissions. The recertification was awarded during the Supplier’s Forum in August 2013, led by Sec. Neric Acosta and the GCP-NELP Board.

2020

Philippine Red Cross

Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc. (MSC) was honored by the Philippine Red Cross with the Blood Services Platinum Award and a Testimonial Plaque for its outstanding support in blood donation efforts. With over 1,233 units of blood donated across more than 10 years, MSC continues its commitment to saving lives and supporting the community.

2021

ECOP Kapatid Awards

Mariwasa was honored with the Special Citation on Quality, Productivity, and Innovation at the ECOP Kapatid Awards 2021—a fitting recognition as the company celebrated its 55th founding anniversary. The Kapatid Awards, organized by the Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP), acknowledges companies that demonstrate excellence in business practices, productivity, and innovation while upholding ethical and responsible business conduct.

Philippine Quality Award

Mariwasa Siam Ceramics, Inc. (MSC) received the prestigious Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Level 3 for Mastery in Quality Management. Conferred on March 23, 2022, this recognition highlights MSC’s commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. PQA Level 3 is the second highest distinction given to public and private companies in the country, making MSC one of the select few to achieve this honor.
